A team from Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana (VTC GH) led by the Trade Commissioner, HE Amb. Prof Hugh Aryee paid a Courtesy Call on the Overlord of the Anlo State Torgbui Sri III on Saturday 4th November 2023.
Present were the Awoamefia, Torgbui Sri III, His Spokesperson, Agbotadua Kumassah and the Stool Father, Zikpuitor Dan Abodakpi.
The Commissioner briefed them on the mandate given to VTC GH and how this can promote trade, investment, tourism, imports and exports in the Anlo State and the Republic of Vanuatu .
The Zikpuitor, Hon Dan Abodakpi assured the VTC GH Team there are a lot of untapped resources in the Anlo State that needs to be tapped. He tasked the VTC GH team to come out with a Proposal to that effect and promised to inform and bring together Chiefs in the thirty-six States of Anlo to make it a reality.
The Awoamefia, Torgbui Sri III as well commended the Trade Commissioner and his team for remembering and honoring the Anlo Kingdom. The visit coincided with the 61st Hogbetsotso Festival.
The VTC GH team was honoree, ushered into the colorful and memorable celebration that saw the attendance of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, The Ruler of the Dagbon Kingdom, His Royal Highness Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama II, Former First Lady, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Traditional leaders, Politicians and a wide range of well-wishers.
